MOSCOW, March 22 The High Qualification Board of Judges will consider on April 1 the application of the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Irina Podnosova, for the position of head of the court, is stated in the agenda of the meeting of the Supreme Court of the Supreme Court, published on the official website.
“The application of Irina Leonidovna Podnosova to give a recommendation as a candidate for the position of chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation is subject to consideration on April 1, 09.30,” it is said on the agenda. It is noted that she is the only applicant who submitted documents for the position.
The opening of a vacant position was announced by the Higher Qualification Committee on March 1 after the death of Vyacheslav Lebedev, who headed the RF Armed Forces since 1991.
Podnosova graduated from the Leningrad Faculty of Law in 1975 State University named after Zhdanov. She has been working as a judge since 1990, in 2020 she headed the Judicial Collegium for Economic Disputes of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
