MOSCOW, March 25 The number of government purchases of medical devices and medicines in 2023 increased by 7% compared to the previous year, and the amount of purchases — by almost 2%, calculated for Vasily Danilchik, an expert at the search and procurement support service “Kontur.Torgi”.
«»The number of purchases of medical drugs, reagents, medical instruments and devices… increased in 2023 compared to 2022 by 7% — from 1,074,711 to 1,149,860 procedures. Government and corporate customers also increased the volume of purchases by 1. 8% — from 2.12 trillion rubles to 2.16 trillion rubles,” he said.
It is noted that most of the costs last year traditionally fell on the purchase of medicines. Thus, hospitals, clinics and other state and municipal institutions spent 1.17 trillion rubles on these goods in 2023, which is 3% less than in 2022.
At the same time, the number of completed procedures regarding the purchase of medical equipment and instruments increased by 14%, to 399 thousand purchases, and the amount of purchases — by 5%, to 596 billion rubles.
«The number of failed purchases for the supply of medical devices and medicines under both laws 44-FZ and 223-FZ, in which there were no participants or all participants were not admitted, decreased in 2023 by 4% — from 160 thousand to 153 thousand procedures. This indicates that suppliers have become more active in submitting applications for participation in procurement,» the expert concluded.
