The FSB reported on the detention of three people who, according to the intelligence service, wanted to throw Molotov cocktails at the election headquarters in Barnaul before the presidential elections. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the department's department for the Altai Territory.
TASS notes that they were detained “directly near the headquarters building while attempting to commit a terrorist attack.” The agency does not specify which candidate’s headquarters the young people allegedly planned to attack.
Judging by the video of the arrest, which was published by the telegram channel “Operational Reports” associated with the security forces, this was the headquarters of Vladimir Putin, located in the office of United Russia on Pushkin Street, 62. “Mediazona” compared footage from this video with panoramas on Yandex.Maps and established the place of detention.
According to the security forces, young people born in 1998, 2001 and 2006, on instructions from a terrorist organization (which is not specified), made five Molotov cocktails and on the eve of the elections wanted to set fire to the headquarters. A criminal case has been initiated regarding attempted terrorist attack, the accused were arrested.
