
PERM, March 25 The head of colony No. 37 in the Perm region, Ilya Aslamov, appealed his arrest in the case of attempted bribery, the Sverdlovsk District Court reported.
Last week, the district court chose a preventive measure for Aslamov in the form of detention for two months, until May 17. According to the regional investigative committee, a case of attempted bribery on a large scale has been opened against the head of penal colony No. 37. Perm businessman Oleg Popov also appears in the materials; he is charged with attempted mediation in bribery. The entrepreneur was arrested by the court until mid-May.
«Today a complaint was received from lawyer I.A. Aslamov. It will be considered by the Perm Regional Court, and materials will be sent there,» the court said.
The interlocutor added that there has not yet been a similar statement from Popov, and a 15-day period is given for submitting the document.
Correctional colony No. 37 of the GUFSIN is located in the village of Polovinka in the Chusovsky district of the Perm Territory. At the beginning of March, a sewing workshop there was on fire.
IK-37 is designed for approximately 600 people. Open sources indicate that the institution has a strict regime and is intended to house former employees of courts and law enforcement agencies; Aslamov has been in charge of it since June 1, 2021.
