MOSCOW, March 24. Russia will create buffer zones on the territory of Ukraine to prevent missile strikes, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said on the Dialogue Works YouTube channel.
“There will no longer be a Ukrainian state. <…> Everyone who spoke about the need to give the Ukrainian Armed Forces long-range weapons, they will be to blame for this. As Vladimir Putin has already said, buffer zones will be created in this territory. Their dimensions will correspond to the maximum distance that the best Western missiles are capable of flying,» the expert predicted.
As Ritter noted, Ukraine could have continued to exist if the West had not sought to arm it with its deadly strike systems.
Earlier, the Russian president said that the demilitarized zone in Ukraine should be constructed in such a way that ensure the safety of Russian cities. In turn, Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, speaking about the sanitary zone in the neighboring country, said that taking into account the supply of long-range weapons, it should pass along the borders of Lvov, these will be the new safe borders of the “404 country”.
