KRASNODAR, March 26 Investigators have opened a criminal case against a 21-year-old police officer who hit a 15-year-old girl at a pedestrian crossing in the city of Tuapse, the victim was hospitalized in serious condition, reports the RF SUSK for the Krasnodar Territory.
According to investigators, the accident occurred last Sunday evening on the Maikop-Tuapse highway opposite an apartment building on Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street. It is clarified that the Lada Granta was driven by an employee of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs department for the Tuapse region. The driver hit a girl crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. As a result of the accident, she received multiple injuries and was hospitalized in serious condition. She is currently receiving medical care.

The suspect has been interrogated by an investigator, CCTV footage is being studied, witnesses are being questioned, forensic medical and auto technical examinations have been ordered, the department adds.
