MOSCOW, March 26 English football club Liverpool tests the use of artificial intelligence in the development of tactical schemes for executing corner kicks, according to the Google DeepMind website.
It is reported that the system based on artificial intelligence TacticAI is capable of developing positioning and behavior tactics for each player when performing a standard, quickly identifying patterns in the opponent’s actions.
The system was created to give advice to coaches, but not to replace them, Google assures. However, in a multi-year research collaboration with Liverpool, experts favored TacticAI's suggestions over actual tactical setups 90% of the time.
It was previously reported that Liverpool hired neuroscientists to prepare football players for the penalty shootout. Scientists attached electrodes to players' heads to monitor brain activity and achieve an optimal psychological state before executing penalty kicks.
