MOSCOW, March 26 Russian President Vladimir Putin said that within the framework of the work of the Prosecutor General’s Office to return large enterprises and property complexes to state ownership, we cannot talk about deprivatization or nationalization of the economy, such work is justified in cases where assets were acquired in violation of the law.
“»And about one more important point, I mean the work of the Prosecutor General’s Office to return a number of large enterprises and property complexes to state ownership. Immediately I would like to outline my position here — we are not and cannot be talking about any deprivatization or nationalization of the economy,” he said at an extended meeting of the board of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
“The work of prosecutors is justified in cases where assets were acquired bypassing , in violation of the law and, moreover, are used to the detriment of the state. At the same time, I would like to emphasize that in each such case it is necessary to act strictly according to the law within the framework of clear legal procedures,” the head of state added.
