The new SUV debuted as a concept. It will probably later be reincarnated as the electric Genesis GV90.
An international auto show is about to open in New York, and some manufacturers have already begun to share details about their new products. One of them was Genesis, a premium brand of Hyundai. The main premiere of the brand at the exhibition will be the large electric crossover Neolun, and there will also be an announcement of the “charged” Genesis Magma division. We will soon talk about the “pumped up” Genesis in a separate article, this one is dedicated to the large SUV.

So, the Genesis Neolun crossover is currently presented as a concept. However, spies have more than once caught a certain disguised prototype of the brand: it is assumed that in New York they will show the harbinger of the flagship model, which will be given the index GV90. The name of the concept is composed of the Greek word neo (that is, “new”) and the Latin luna (“moon”). Together, these words, according to marketers, “embody Genesis’ technological innovations,” which “exceed traditional standards” and “formulate the brand’s vision for the future.”
We have already seen the “radiator grille” indicated by diode lines on the Genesis X Speedium Coupe concept. The electric crossover does not have central pillars, the rear doors swing open against the direction of travel. However, the production SUV will most likely have a traditional body structure. But the running boards that extend when the doors are opened may well be left behind. The serial cross can also be converted to an additional box hidden in the front part. The dimensions of the Genesis Neolun have not yet been announced. Apparently, the show car is larger than the current Genesis GV80. The length of the latter is 4940 mm, the wheelbase is 2955 mm.
Genesis Neolun has a four-seater cabin, the front seats can be turned to face the gallery. A small refrigerator is built between the rear seats, and a pair of separate displays are attached to the ceiling. The crossover also received a laconic front panel with a rectangular touchscreen sticking out in the middle. The floor is made of natural wood. In addition, aluminum is used in the interior decoration. Finally, the SUV got an advanced audio system.

The company did not talk about Neolun technology. The production GV90 will most likely be available with all-wheel drive, meaning a dual-motor setup. The flagship electric crossover, based on Neolun, may well debut before the end of this year.
