SIRIUS, March 25 The share of nuclear generation in the overall energy balance of the Russian Federation in the second half of the 21st century may increase to a third from the current 20%, said Rosatom General Director Alexey Likhachev.
At the plenary session of the international forum «Atomexpo-2024», Likhachev recalled that by 2045 this share should increase to 25%.
“I think that no one will be embarrassed by the figure of a third of nuclear electricity, which we can achieve in the second half of this century,” Likhachev said.
