MOSCOW, March 27 Elections of senior officials subjects of the Russian Federation will be held in 16 regions, while indirect elections will be held in three more, said Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nikolai Bulaev.
«Elections of senior officials of the subjects of the Russian Federation — 19 subjects. And in three regions: the Republic of Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkarian and The Republic of Crimea (will hold) indirect elections, elections of the legislative assembly,” Bulaev said at a meeting of the Central Election Commission.
Bulaev noted that one campaign for by-elections to the State Duma in a single-mandate constituency will be held in Khakassia. In another 13 regions, elections of deputies to the legislative bodies of the constituent entities are planned, in three regions — elections of heads of administrative centers of the constituent entities, and in 21 constituent entities, elections of deputies to the legislative bodies of the regional capitals are planned, added the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission.
