MOSCOW, March 28 Tinkoff supports the idea of creating a single QR code for fast payment systems, but proposes to entrust the regulation of its work to the association of banks, said Sergei, vice president, deputy director of the Tinkoff payment systems department Khromov in an interview with Kommersant.
«In our opinion, this, firstly, would be convenient for issuing banks and would not require serious technical improvements from them, since the only necessary equipment is an acquiring terminal. In addition, a single QR would not confuse them buyers and, in fact, would be the key for them to various payment methods of any banks,” Khromov said.
At the same time, he believes that it is not the National Payment Card System (NPSK) that should support a single QR and set the rules of the game, but the association of banks.
«In this way, parity and equality will be achieved between all market participants, so that this QR code, this key to various payment methods, is truly uniform,» Khromov explained.
