MOSCOW, March 29 The number of cameras that will automatically detect violations when riding electric scooters and electric bicycles in Moscow can be increased with If necessary, violators will receive punishment up to and including account blocking, said Maxim Liksutov, deputy mayor of the capital for transport issues.
“»Before the start of the season, the data center successfully tested a new technology that allows automatic detection of violations when riding electric scooters and electric bicycles. Now cameras with a neural network automatically record dangerous actions and transmit information to rental operators. Violators receive punishments, including account blocking. If necessary, the number of cameras will be increased,” said Liksutov, whose words are quoted in the Telegram channel of the capital’s transport department.
The message also recalled that this season special enlarged numbers appeared on scooters. All rental electric scooters and bicycles will be equipped with them. In addition, the issue of monitoring electric bicycles of couriers is being considered.
