The FSB reported on the detention of three people who were planning to commit a terrorist attack in the Stavropol Territory. TASS reports this.
According to security forces, the detainees — citizens of one of the Central Asian countries — were preparing to carry out an explosion in a crowded place. During the search, they were found to have parts of homemade explosives, chemicals and destructive elements.
In the surveillance video, which was distributed by the FSB press service, the detainees buy nails and screws at a hardware store, go into a pharmacy and leave a grocery supermarket with full packages. At the end, the security forces showed the things they had seized. In addition to screws, there were documents, bank cards, telephones, Arabic textbooks and a small cardboard box with the word “sugar” written on it.
A criminal case was opened against the detainees regarding preparation for a terrorist attack (Part 1 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code). There is no word yet on the arrest of the men.
