The online cinema Okko was fined one million rubles for showing three TV series “demonstrating” LGBT relationships without being labeled 18+

The Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined the Okko streaming service one million rubles under the protocol on “demonstration” of LGBT relationships with incorrect age markings (Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Administrative Code). This was reported by the city press service of the courts.

The reason for the protocol was the series “Annika”, “The One” and “My Dead Ex”. In the first, Roskomnadzor employees found “a mention of non-traditional sexual relationships” and a scene of a kiss between people of the same sex. The second contains footage of one woman “in a fit of old feelings” stroking the hands of another. In the third series — “My Dead Ex” — the claims of department employees were caused by the heroine’s coming out. All three series were marked “16+”.

Earlier — in August 2023 and January 2024 — the same Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined Okko under similar protocols — due to showing films without the “18+” marking. Both times the amount of fines was one million rubles.
