
MOSCOW, April 1 The Russian league Ural FC canceled the tournament, within the framework of which the Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Alexander Emelianenko was supposed to have a rematch against Vyacheslav Datsik, the press service of the promotion reports.
The confrontation was supposed to be the main event of the Moscow show and was scheduled for March 30, but was later postponed to April 12.
““The Ural FC League announces that the international tournament in fist fighting and boxing with MMA gloves, scheduled for April 12, is canceled for technical reasons. The date of the next event will be announced separately,” the organization’s statement noted.
The first fight of the athletes took place in September 2022 according to boxing rules and ended with Datsik’s victory by knockout in the first round. Emelianenko has 38 MMA fights: 28 wins (20 by knockout), nine losses and one draw. Datsik has seven wins (three by knockout) and eight losses.
