In the neighboring country, a radically transformed SUV will be offered with two gasoline engines. There the model will be presented exclusively with all-wheel drive.
The world premiere of the new, fifth generation Hyundai Santa Fe crossover took place in the summer of 2023. In its native Korea, sales started almost immediately after the presentation; in the USA, the model became available for order at the beginning of this year; in addition, the brand is now gradually introducing the new product to the European market. And now such a crossover has been announced in our neighboring Kazakhstan: the launch there will take place in the near future, while the local Hyundai division has already posted a price list.

In terms of design, the Kazakh Santa Fe generally replicates versions for other countries. If we compare it with the previous generation model, the crossover has radically changed its image: from now on it is brutal with an angular body. However, the passport ground clearance is not impressive: for the version for Kazakhstan it is 177 mm. Inside there is a curved display and a touch-sensitive climate control unit (although physical buttons and washers were still left), and the right steering column lever is responsible for controlling the transmission. The new Hyundai Santa Fe comes with a five-, six- or seven-seater interior.
In some markets, the crossover is offered as a hybrid, and there are two such versions: with the ability to charge from the mains (PHEV) and without it (HEV). However, in Kazakhstan, the new Santa is presented only with an internal combustion engine. The local model is equipped with a 2.5 naturally aspirated petrol engine with a power of 194 hp. (246 Nm) in combination with a classic eight-speed automatic transmission. And the top version of Calligraphy also has a 2.5 turbo-four, which produces 281 hp. and 422 Nm, this engine is paired with an eight-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. The Kazakh SUV is exclusively all-wheel drive, while in other countries the Santa Fe has front-wheel drive versions. A diesel engine is not provided for the new product in principle.

Our neighbors Santa Fe will be available in six trim levels. The list of equipment of the basic SUV includes: 18-inch wheels, LED optics, heated windshield, leather upholstery, heated steering wheel and seats, dual-zone climate control, a 4.3-inch screen in the instrument panel, a multimedia system with a 12.3-inch diagonal touchscreen , adaptive cruise control, auto braking and lane keeping systems. In the “medium” versions, a 12.3-inch diagonal instrument screen, wireless charging for a smartphone, a 360-degree camera, blind spot collision avoidance and parking collision warning systems appear.

Dear versions are also 20-inch wheels, ventilated front seats (the seats also have retractable footrests) and a head-up display. The top-of-the-line Santa Fe Calligraphy has 21-inch wheels, Nappa leather upholstery, two wireless charging pads, a fingerprint authentication system, an ultraviolet light in the glove compartment for disinfection, two sunroofs and a press-in handle on the C-pillar (for easier access to the roof — you can hold on to this handle).
According to the price list, the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe in Kazakhstan will cost 19,390,000 — 26,990,000 tenge, which is equivalent to approximately 4 million – 5.6 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
