MOSCOW, April 1 Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation, together with the executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern and Siberian federal districts, to develop a program for replacing outdated heating equipment with modern Russian equipment for settlements where gasification is not planned; the corresponding order was published on the Kremlin website.
«»To the Government of the Russian Federation: … Together with the executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that are part of the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts, develop a program for replacing outdated heating equipment with modern energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heating equipment of domestic production, operating on solid fuel with high efficiency and low negative impact on the environment,” the order says.
It also notes that it is necessary to ensure the implementation of this program “in the territories of settlements in which gasification using network natural gas is not planned, and also to provide for the priority of participation in this program of certain categories of citizens, defining these categories.”
According to the instructions, the corresponding report must be prepared before July 15, 2024, then once every six months. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin and senior officials of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that are part of the Siberian Federal District and Far Eastern Federal District were appointed responsible for the development of the program.
