MOSCOW, April 2 Russia needs to develop domestic grape production, for this it is important to support producers of wine products from grapes and Russian production capacities, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at meeting of the board of Rosalkogoltabakkontrol.
“»An important issue is the development of support for producers of wine products from grapes — we need to develop our own production capacity and our own grape production. It is necessary to ensure that the grapes used in the production of wine products are recorded in the Unified State Automated Information System. We are talking about such registration in the context organizations, types of products, volumes of unused grapes, grape varieties, as well as individual numbers of grape plantings,» Siluanov said.
In mid-March, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that the production of wine products in the Russian Federation in January-February 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year increased by 30%, to 6.8 million deciliters. The Ministry then recalled that in order to increase the area of vineyards, the federal project “Stimulating the development of viticulture and winemaking”, designed until 2030, is currently being implemented. Financing for the current year is planned at 4 billion rubles from the federal and regional budgets.
