< strong>YAROSLAVL, April 1The train driver who collided with a bus at a crossing in the Yaroslavl region was prescribed outpatient treatment, reports the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
““The locomotive driver was injured and was prescribed outpatient treatment,” the message says.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the collision killed the bus driver — a man born in 1980, passengers — women born in 1949, 1951, 1971, 1973, and a girl born in 2007.
““The identity of another bus passenger who died in the accident is currently being established,” the police clarifies.
According to the Northern Railway, at 14.36 Moscow time, at a controlled railway crossing between the Shushkovo and Berendeevo stations of the Northern Railway in the Yaroslavl region, the bus driver drove onto the tracks in front of the approaching passenger train No. 15 on the Arkhangelsk-Moscow route. The train driver applied the emergency brake, but the distance was insufficient and a collision could not be avoided. The North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office clarified that, previously, the bus was unable to leave the tracks on time due to a technical breakdown.

According to updated data from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, six bus passengers and the driver died in the accident. The train driver was injured. Later, Governor Mikhail Evraev reported that the crossing manager was drunk — he raised the barrier and allowed the bus to pass, although a train was moving.
