The Investigative Committee demanded the arrest of the tenth person in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus; he is accused of transferring money to a participant in the attack

The Investigative Committee demanded that Yakubjoni Yusufzoda be sent to pre-trial detention center in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, the department reported.

According to the investigation, Yusufzoda “several days before the terrorist attack, transferred money to an accomplice through his bank card funds to provide accommodation for terrorists,” and “part of the funds was transferred to one of the perpetrators after the crime was committed.”

Yusufzoda was detained by police on March 25. As follows from the database of the Presnensky District Court of Moscow, the next day he was sentenced to 12 days of arrest under the article on disobedience to the police (Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code). According to the police, Yusufzoda tried to escape when he noticed a patrol car. During the arrest, the security forces claim, he “exhibited active resistance.” Later in court, the detainee explained that he was afraid that he might be punished for violating immigration laws.

On March 28, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, spoke about the detention of “a participant in a terrorist financing scheme,” but names or any other details were not provided.
