The Suvorov Interdistrict Court of the Tula Region fined 27-year-old local resident Nikita Orlov 45 thousand rubles because of a leaflet on the gate of school No. 5, where the polling station was located. This was reported by the joint press service of the regional courts.
Orlov was found guilty in an administrative case for “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code).
The protocol was drawn up because early in the morning Orlov attached a sheet with the text “Citizens of Suvorov. If you come today, tear up your ballots. Don't become accomplices of Putin's criminal regime. Let's stop the war (SVO). Let's save the young from the fate of new mobilizations and their deaths. “Vote against everyone,” the press service quotes the resolution.
“With his actions, Orlov undermined confidence in the conduct of a special military operation with the consent of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation,” the court decision says.
At the court hearing, the young man admitted guilt and repented, the press service said in a statement. He explained that he wrote the words on a piece of paper with green paint and placed it on a stand near the school, because he knew that polling station No. 1903 would be located there.
On the afternoon of March 17, Orlov entered school No. 5 and tried to pour brilliant green and iodine into the ballot box — a policewoman on duty at the station immediately ran up to the young man.
As a result, Orlov was arrested for 15 days under a protocol of disobedience to the police (Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code). Immediately after he served his arrest, he was fined under the protocol of “discrediting” the military.
