MOSCOW, April 3 Chasov Yar will repeat the fate of Avdeevka and Artemovsk , said retired Armed Forces Major Igor Lapin in an interview with ex-Rada deputy Borislav Bereza.
““The same story awaits Chasov Yar amid reports about our problems with defense lines. This doesn’t make me very happy,” he pointed out.< br>
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not be able to hold the defense in this city if the Russian military breaks through and cuts off the supply of Ukrainians in this area.
On Tuesday, adviser to the head of the DPR Igor Kimakovsky said that the city Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic, which has become an important logistics hub for the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2014, is losing strategic importance for the Ukrainian army after Russian troops took fire control of the roads leading there.
As noted by Kimakovsky, Chasov Yar has been used since 2014 enemy for rotation: fresh units from other regions of Ukraine were brought there for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Loading of units that were battered in battles was carried out in Artemovsk, that is, these two railway junctions were key for the Ukrainian command.
