MOSCOW, April 2 Losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the year increased threefold, said British expert Alexander Merkouris on his YouTube channel.
“»Since the beginning of this year, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been constantly growing. <…> This year the situation is three times worse, and in March it became even worse more terrible,” he pointed out.
According to him, now more Ukrainian soldiers are dying on the battlefield than during the battle for Artemovsk in 2023.
Merkouris also emphasized that the data cited by Vladimir Zelensky about the dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the entire conflict does not correspond to reality.
In March, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke at the board of the department. According to him, since the beginning of the year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 71 thousand people and 11 thousand pieces of equipment. The losses of the Ukrainian army were almost three times higher than in the same period last year, Shoigu noted. The minister added that the Russian army continues to push the enemy out of its positions and does not allow it to gain a foothold on new lines.
