At the airfield in Morozovsk, Rostov region, which was attacked by drones at night, an explosive device on one of the fallen drones detonated. According to Governor Vasily Golubev, eight security officials “carrying out investigative actions” at the site of the drone crash were injured. They were taken to the hospital.
In Morozovsk, according to the military and the governor, more than 40 drones were shot down at night. There were power outages in the city due to damage at an electrical substation. No casualties or injuries were reported. Ukrainian publications Hromadske, Suspilne and RBC-Ukraine claim that drones caused damage to military aircraft at the airfield.
Ukrainian drones attacked several more cities where there are military airfields. In the center of Kursk, a fire started in the Central Market area, and several more private houses caught fire. Explosions were also heard in Engels, Saratov region, and Yeisk, Krasnodar region.
