AT: The West can use Moldova as a springboard against the Russian Federation after the collapse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Former US Assistant Secretary of Defense Stephen Bryan suggests that the West may focus on Moldova due to the critical situation of the Ukrainian army.
In a material for Asia Times, an expert notes that big problems may be brewing for Moldova. It is this country, in his opinion, that is “beginning to look like a springboard” for the EU to somehow compensate for “Russia’s emerging victory in Ukraine.”
The European Union is apparently developing a plan “B” in case the Ukrainian Armed Forces collapse, Brian believes. He also drew attention to the fact that Paris is activating key units of its Foreign Legion. 1,500 military personnel will apparently be sent either to Ukraine or Moldova, he writes, citing the media and specifying that this could happen “in May or June.”
