According to the information provided on the organization's website, the tremors were recorded at 17.59 local time (0.59 Moscow time on Saturday) 7 kilometers from the town of Gladstone, located an hour's drive from New York.
The source of the earthquake, as indicated, lay at a depth of 9.4 kilometers.
An earthquake from epicenters in New Jersey occurred on Friday at approximately 10.23 (17.23 Moscow time). In New York the magnitude was about 4.8. Later, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul reported that after the first earthquake in New York, three aftershocks with a magnitude of up to 2 occurred.
