
SIMFEROPOL, April 6. Electricity supply to the Zaporozhye NPP via the 330 kV reserve line «Ferosplavnaya-1» has been restored, the press service of the Zaporozhye NPP reported.
«At Zaporozhye NPP has put into operation the 330 kV high-voltage power supply line «Ferrosplavnaya-1», the agency's interlocutors said.
The line was put into operation at 18:09 Moscow time.
Energy supply to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is ensured through two high-voltage lines: 750 kV «Dneprovskaya» and 330 kV «Ferosplavnaya -1», the press service specified.
On Thursday, the station reported the disconnection of the «Ferrosplavnaya» line -1″ at 10:06 Moscow time. Despite the incident, the background radiation remained normal, the reasons are being clarified.
Now all units of the Zaporozhye NPP are shut down. Five of them are in the “cold stop” state, one is in the “hot stop” state. The equipment is maintained in accordance with all necessary regulations with strict control of radiation safety standards.
ZNPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper near the city of Energodar. This is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity — there are six power units with a capacity of one gigawatt each. In October 2022, the nuclear power plant became the property of Russia.
