MOSCOW, April 5 The Russian government has increased the total limit of funds for issuing preferential mortgage loans for IT specialists by 200 billion rubles, now it is 700 billion rubles, corresponding The resolution has already been published on the Cabinet of Ministers website.
«The government will increase the limits of this mortgage by 200 billion rubles. The corresponding resolution has been prepared, thanks to which at least 15 thousand more specialists will be able to obtain loans at a favorable rate for the purchase of a house, apartment or land plot for construction in the field of information technology. Their support is a significant part of our work to strengthen the human resources potential of this important industry,» Mishustin said during a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers.
A little later, the decree signed by the prime minister was published on the government website. The report notes that over the entire period of implementation of the program, more than 56 thousand mortgage loans have already been issued for a total amount of about 500 billion rubles.
The mortgage program for employees of accredited IT companies was launched by the government in 2022 to support industry and create comfortable conditions for its workers.
Professionals aged 18 to 50 years inclusive can take out a preferential mortgage loan. The preferential rate for them is up to 5% per annum. The maximum amount of a government-subsidized loan for the purchase of housing in regions with a population of over a million is 18 million rubles, in the rest — 9 million rubles.
