Moscow companies are increasing the production of equipment for electric transport

MOSCOW, April 6Metropolitan industrialists are increasing the production of components for electric vehicles, as well as innovative charging stations, said Moscow Government Minister, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“Today in Moscow, about 30 companies produce cars, trailers, components and devices for them. At the end of last year alone, they increased production by 40.4%. The electric vehicle industry is also actively developing: Moscow enterprises are developing new types of batteries with improved characteristics, as well as «We are increasing the production of innovative charging stations. In 2022, for this purpose, we created a specialized cluster, which already includes about 60 companies,» Ovchinsky was quoted as saying by the DIPP press service.
Thus, the Autonomous Energy Systems company has completed testing of a new batteries for urban electric vehicles, characterized by reduced weight, which will increase mileage
transport by 20-40% with comparable weight. The SAGA Technologies company doubled the production of charging stations in 2023 compared to the previous year. Models have a power from 7 to 160 kilowatts.
On behalf of the mayor of Moscow, the city is implementing a set of measures to increase the investment attractiveness of the city. The capital has created comfortable conditions for the development of small, medium and large enterprises: entrepreneurs can take advantage of more than 20 systemic measures to support the city, for example, targeted loans and subsidies. A number of anti-crisis tools have also been developed.
Moscow is a city with developed production. There are more than 4.2 thousand industrial companies in the capital, employing 725 thousand people. Every year, 40-50 medium and large enterprises are opened, as well as about 100 small ones. They produce a variety of goods, actively introduce innovations and increase production volumes. As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin previously reported, the growth of the capital's manufacturing industry over the past year, excluding the oil refining industry, amounted to 22.3%.
