< br />KAZAN, April 7 Investigators opened a criminal case after the explosion of a gas cylinder in a residential building in the city of Nurlat in Tatarstan, as a result of which one person died and two more were injured, reported the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the republic .
«As a result of the incident in Nurlat, a criminal case has been opened under paragraph «c» of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performance of work or provision of services that does not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person through negligence),» the message says.
According to preliminary data, a gas cylinder exploded in the apartment during the installation of suspended ceilings. As a result of the incident, one person was killed and two more were injured.
Earlier, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on Saturday evening there was a fire in the city of Nurlat in Tatarstan, an apartment two-story residential building burned after the explosion of a gas-air mixture, as a result of which the outer walls collapsed, the fire area amounted to 80 square meters.
