According to her, the head of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Valentina Kazakova, took personal control of the situation with 83-year-old Latvian citizen Alexander Dmitriev, who lives with relatives in Moscow.
«Employees of the territorial migration department have already contacted the family of Alexander Ivanovich. Tomorrow he will receive the documents necessary to obtain a residence permit. If in the future he expresses a desire to acquire citizenship of the Russian Federation, he will be provided with full assistance,» — wrote Wolf.
