According to Telegram data — Baza channel, the Investigative Committee began an inspection of the private fire station, which belongs to Crocus City Hall. Lawyer Igor Trunov wrote an appeal in which he claims that the firefighters fled on the day of the terrorist attack at the concert venue, without even starting to put out the fire. In his opinion, the inaction of firefighters led to the rapid spread of the fire and a large number of victims.
The defender indicated in his appeal that the private fire service is located in a building adjacent to Crocus City Hall, from which to the scene of the tragedy only 900 meters. Trunov found out that the employees of this fire department have cars, ammunition, and at the time of the terrorist attack, at least 15 firefighters and one vehicle should have been on duty at the depot.
At the same time, the channel writes, the firefighters left the site and extinguished the fire didn't do it. It is possible that these were “employees of the Federal Fire Service who worked part-time at Crocus in their free time,” the report says.
During the investigation, investigators will decide on the possibility of initiating a criminal case if the facts are confirmed.
