In the Belgorod region, the air defense system shot down four Ukrainian drones, said Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
In the village of Shagarovka near Belgorod, debris from a downed drone hit a car in which there was a family of six, killing a girl, Gladkov wrote .
The remaining five people were injured. “The man, the father of the family, has a closed craniocerebral injury with an open head wound and a shrapnel wound to the right collarbone. An ambulance took him to city hospital No. 2,” the governor said. An 18-year-old young man and two children were also hospitalized.
At night, Gladkov reported that the village of Leninsky, Shebekinsky urban district, was attacked by drones from the Ukrainian Armed Forces — the roof of a private residential building there caught fire. In the village of Dronovka, two cars burned down and a gas pipeline was damaged. No one was hurt.
On April 7, the Ministry of Defense reported that from 14:30 to 16:00 Moscow time, air defense systems shot down 13 drones over the Belgorod region, and three more over the Bryansk region.
