The President of Finland called for continued fighting in Ukraine

WASHINGTON, April 8 Finnish President Alexander Stubb in an interview with the American told CNN that he believes continued fighting in Ukraine is the only way to achieve peace in the current conflict.
«The only way we can achieve peace is through the battlefield,» he said.

According to Stubb, at present peace negotiations to end the conflict cannot begin.

In addition, the President of Finland admitted that there is fatigue in Ukrainian society from the conflict that has been protracted for Kyiv.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken about Moscow's readiness and openness to solve problems through negotiations, «this is the preferable path.» Peskov added that calls for negotiations on Ukraine have recently been met with harsh denial by the Kyiv regime.
Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called its goal “the protection of people who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” He noted that the special operation was a forced measure, Russia “was left no chance to do otherwise, security risks were created such that it was impossible to respond by other means.” According to him, Russia has been trying for 30 years to come to an agreement with NATO on the principles of security in Europe, but in response it has been faced with either cynical deception and lies, or attempts at pressure and blackmail, while the alliance, meanwhile, despite Moscow’s protests, is steadily expanding and approaching borders of the Russian Federation.
