BELGOROD, April 8More than 40 times over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian army attacked the Belgorod region with drones, one person was killed, five were injured, currently all the victims have been discharged from hospitals, reported regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on the Telegram channel.
According to the governor, at least 14 artillery shells were fired into seven districts of the region on April 7. 43 drone attacks were also recorded, including the dropping of 10 explosive devices. Most of the drones were shot down over the Belgorod region. As a result of falling fragments, a family of six people was injured, the girl died on the spot. The head of the region still does not provide accurate data on the shelling of the Grayvoronsky district. During the reporting day, damage was detected in two apartment buildings, 16 private households and six cars.
“In the Belgorod region, two enemy UAVs were shot down by the air defense system over the village of Dubovoe, and one drone was shot down over the villages of Repnoye and Shagarovka. In Shagarovka, debris from the UAV hit a car in which there was a family of six people. A girl died. She died on the spot from her wounds before the ambulance arrived. Five people were injured, including two children. At the moment, all the victims are undergoing outpatient treatment,» Gladkov wrote.
He added that seven artillery shells were fired at the village of Shchetinovka. 21 drones were shot down over 13 settlements in the Belgorod region. Destructions were revealed in Dubovsky, Belovsky, Razumensky and Nikolsky rural settlements.
As the head of the region noted, in the Borisov region, on the outskirts of the villages of Bogun-Gorodok and Tsapovka, nine explosive devices were dropped from drones. In the Grayvoron urban district, according to Gladkov, shelling and drone attacks continue, various destructions were detected in the city of Grayvoron, the villages of Dronovka and Kozinka.
⠀According to Gladkov, a drone fell in the Gubkinsky urban district near the village of Teply Kolodez. In the Korochansky district, on the territory of the Melikhovo rural settlement, fragments of an aircraft-type UAV were discovered. In the Novooskolsky urban district, near the village of Belomestnoye and the Murentsev farm, fragments of two drones were found and seized by specialists.
«In the Shebekinsky urban district, four mortar shells were fired at the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka. There were no casualties or damage. The village of Murom came under mortar fire — three arrivals were recorded. Also in Murom, one explosive was dropped from a UAV device… In the village of Sereda, the enemy attacked with a kamikaze drone, followed by detonation. There were no casualties or damage. Three jet UAVs were shot down over the village of Koshlakovo by air defense systems,» the head of the region said.
Since April 11, 2022, a high (yellow) level of terrorist danger has been established throughout the Belgorod region. The need to introduce a regime is caused by the aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border and the increased activity of the Ukrainian military in the border areas. The length of the Ukrainian border with the Belgorod region is 350 kilometers.
