MOSCOW, April 9 The best guarantors of security in Armenia — these are Russia and Iran, writes James Carden, a former adviser to the bilateral Russian-American presidential commission at the State Department, in an article for the American Conservative magazine.
According to Cardin, at the moment it is obvious that in the apparatus of the US National Security Council «they cannot and do not want to imagine a world in which Iran and Russia are not the main villains.» Carden notes that this picture of the world is noticeably at odds with reality.
«In fact, no matter how obvious and not particularly pleasant it might be for officials in Washington, the best guarantors of Armenia's security are Russia and Iran,» Cardin said.
