MOSCOW, April 8 Capital radiologists have already completed more than 400 thousand protocols by voice input, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his Telegram channel.
According to the mayor, speech recognition technology allows you to dictate a description of the radiation study. Thanks to this, doctors’ time is significantly saved.
In turn, the press service of the developer of intelligent speech technologies added that the first use of voice in the medical field occurred four years ago.
“Thanks to the unified digital healthcare platform developed by the social development complex of the city of Moscow and the information technology department, in 2020 it was possible to implement the first use of voice input in medicine in the country — a large-scale project that included testing the system, collecting feedback from doctors, and developing a voice input methodology documentation. Then followed the stage of preparing the infrastructure, preparing and connecting automated workstations for doctors to the speech recognition system server,» the press service quotes Dmitry Dyrmovsky, CEO of the TsRT group of companies.
With reference to The Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine of the Moscow Department of Health, Dmitry Dyrmovsky, reported that saving doctors’ time through the use of voice input has increased from 22% to 30%, work continues, educational materials are being developed, and methodological support is being implemented so that the benefits of voice input can be scaled.
The developer’s press service added that the project is based on a voice assistant. This is an artificial intelligence solution that converts the doctor's voice into text.
