Representatives of the European Union countries have established a restriction on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine
Representatives of the European Parliament said that the EP had previously agreed on a decision to extend the duty-free import of Ukrainian agricultural goods for a year until the fifth of June next year.
To be confirmed , that the deputies decided to set a ceiling on the volume of imported products.
“For particularly sensitive products, an “emergency braking” tool is provided. We are talking about poultry meat, eggs, sugar, corn and honey,” the European Parliament document notes.
The EP added that the instrument for suspending the duty-free regime for goods from Ukraine will be activated at the moment if its volumes will exceed the average for the period from the second half of 2021 to 2023.
