MOSCOW, April 8 Olympic biathlon champion Svetlana Sleptsova told about how Norway national team coach Siegfried Maze admitted that he misses the World Cup stage in Russia and Russian rivals.
The International Biathlon Union (IBU) Congress in September 2022 upheld the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notifications against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine.
“»I communicate very well with the Norwegian coach, Siegfried Maze. I usually convey congratulations to the Norwegians through him. When the World Cup was held, Siegfried and I often communicated. He said that he missed Khanty- Mansiysk. The Norwegians liked it there. And in general he says that there are not enough Russians now,” Championship quoted Sleptsova as saying.
Sleptsova ended her career in 2017. She is the 2010 Olympic champion and world relay champion.
