MOSCOW, April 9 The Federation Council received submission of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the appointment of Irina Podnosova to the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council reported. The head of the committee, Andrei Klishas, wrote about this in his telegram channel.
“The Federation Council received a proposal from the President of Russia V.V. Putin for Irina Leonidovna Podnosova for appointment to the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation,” wrote Andrei Klishas.
The Higher Qualification Board of Judges (HQJC) previously unanimously recommended the candidacy of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Podnosova for the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. Podnosova is the only candidate who has submitted documents for the position. The VKKS announced the opening of a vacant position on March 1 after the death of Vyacheslav Lebedev, who had headed the RF Armed Forces since 1991.
Podnosova graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Leningrad State University named after Zhdanov in 1975. She has been working as a judge since 1990, in 2020 she headed the Judicial Collegium for Economic Disputes of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. -0-
