MOSCOW, April 10 No requirements for Kyiv stopping shelling and attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant shows that Western countries do not need justice in Ukraine, said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
Earlier, the conference “Restoring Justice for Ukraine” was held in The Hague, which was organized by the Netherlands jointly with the European Commission and Ukraine.
«In the Hague Declaration of April 2 of this year, for some reason, there is no demand for Kyiv to immediately stop mass shelling of residential areas of Donetsk, Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh and our other cities… There is nothing there about the Zaporozhye power plant either «There is no talk of bloody terrorist attacks and murders on Russian territory. This shows that the West does not need any justice in Ukraine,» Zakharova said at a briefing.
She emphasized that Western countries, on the contrary, are fighting with attempts to restore this justice. “This is precisely what propaganda acts like the aforementioned declaration are aimed at. But this is not propaganda, this is propaganda of lies,” Zakharova noted.
Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called its goal “the protection of people who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” He noted that the special operation was a forced measure, Russia “was left no chance to do otherwise, security risks were created such that it was impossible to respond by other means.” According to him, Russia has been trying for 30 years to come to an agreement with NATO on the principles of security in Europe, but in response it has been faced with either cynical deception and lies, or attempts at pressure and blackmail, while the alliance, meanwhile, despite Moscow’s protests, is steadily expanding and approaching borders of the Russian Federation.
