MOSCOW, April 11 The Bank of Russia generally supports the proposal to exempt income from long-term deposits from tax, said the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina.
«Anatoly Gennadievich (Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets — ed.) said that long-term deposits need to be exempted from tax… We generally support this, but as with taxonomy, counter efforts are needed here to make long-term deposits become popular,” she said at the congress of the Association of Banks of Russia (ADB).
