In Moscow, police broke into the home of Manas Zholdoshbekov, a counselor at the Kyrgyz embassy, to check documents, breaking into the apartment's lock. This was reported by the anonymous telegram channel “VChK-OGPU”. Member of the country's parliament Dastan Bekeshev confirmed this, citing Zholdoshbekov himself.
According to the Cheka-OGPU, this happened on April 8. The police «in an aggressive manner» demanded documents on migration registration from Zholdoshbekov and his relatives, even after they were shown diplomatic passports.
The «VChK-OGPU» claimed that «the diplomat's wife was physically injured» , and the children were “psychologically harmed.” Deputy Bekeshev clarified that, according to Manas Zholdoshbekov himself, “no one was hurt, but there was an incident.”
“If they do this to embassy employees, then I can’t even imagine what they do to citizens who do not have immunity,” he added.
Today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan summoned the Russian consul Andrei Burievoy and demanded that him to “bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible.” The Foreign Ministry statement said that Buryevoy “expressed regret” and spoke about the investigation that had been launched due to the incident.
I contacted Manas Zholdoshbekov and found out the details. Thank God no one was hurt, but there was an incident. If they do this to embassy employees, I can’t even imagine what they do to citizens who do not have immunity. The Russian police apparently went wild. https://t.co/f4nHGAMfKp
