A programmer from Mordovia was detained at the Ozinki checkpoint in the Saratov region on the border with Kazakhstan. The regional border department of the FSB reported this to the publications “Region 64”, “Fourth Power” and “Vzglyad-Info”.
A man born in 1986, a “programmer of a foreign company”, who was traveling to Kazakhstan, was attacked because of his messages in chats, a case was opened for justifying terrorism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code).
The intelligence service claims that the man “in various Internet chats called for financing the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the murder of officials, the arson of military facilities on Russian territory, and also created a positive image of members of a Ukrainian paramilitary group banned in the Russian Federation.”
It is not said how exactly the security forces gained access to the correspondence. The FSB accompanied the news with a portrait of the detainee with a blurred face and two photographs of a computer and laptop. They were probably taken during a search of the man's house.
