MOSCOW, April 13 US Border Patrol centers in San Diego is 245% full — there are almost 2.5 times more illegal immigrants than can be accommodated, the New York Post reports. The U.S. Border Patrol in the San Diego area on the southern border has more than twice as many migrants as it can handle, and immigrants here are thanking President Biden for letting them in.
According to the newspaper, as of Friday, 1,812 illegal immigrants were being held in premises designed for 750 people.
«Given the influx of migrants and the fact that they can only be held for 72 hours, more than 125 thousand migrants have been released onto the streets of San Diego since September,» the publication notes.
The United States has recorded record levels of illegal migration in recent months; last December, border officials recorded 302,000 illegal border crossings, the largest number in a single month. In addition, a record number of illegal immigrants has been recorded for all three years during which the United States has been led by Joe Biden.
