MOSCOW, April 13 Department of Maritime Trade Operations UK (UKMTO) under the British Navy reported on the social network X that it had received information about the incident 50 nautical miles (92.6 kilometers) from the city of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.
«The UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) has received a report of an incident 50 nautical miles northeast of the UAE city of Fujairah. Authorities are investigating,» the agency said in a statement.
UKMTO advised ships to proceed through the area with caution and to report any suspicious activity.
The agency later noted that the vessel had been detained by «regional authorities».
