MOSCOW, April 12«Avtodor» is switching the M-11 «Neva» and M-4 «Don» highways to the summer speed limit: the permitted speed on a number of their sections is increasing to 130 km/h and 110 km/h, respectively, the state company said in a message on its telegram channel .
«Starting April 15, the speed limit will be increased on a number of sections of the M-11 Neva and M-4 Don… Owners of cars and trucks with a permissible maximum weight of no more than 3.5 tons will again be able to reach a speed of 130 km /h on the M-11 Neva highway from 59 km in the Moscow region to St. Petersburg,” noted Avtodor.
Since November 7 last year, the maximum permitted speed on the M-11 highway was 110 km/h. This was necessary to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure the safety of motorists in the winter, the state-owned company specified.
Also, from April 15, an increased speed limit is introduced on sections of the M-4 Don from 296 to 322 km bypassing Efremov in the Tula region and from 1091 to 1119 km in the Rostov region. The permitted speed will increase from 90 km/h to 110 km/h, Avtodor added.
Avtodor specializes in the design, construction and management of toll roads. The trust management of the state company includes M-1 «Belarus», M-4 «Don», M-3 «Ukraine», M-11 «Neva», M-12 «Vostok» and the Central Ring Road.
