
RYAZAN, April 13 The motives of the attacker who threw containers with flammable substances (FLS) near the government building of the Vladimir region are being clarified, Governor Alexander Avdeev said.
Earlier, the State Emergency Service reported that firefighters extinguished a fire in one car over an area of three square meters. Law enforcement agencies said that the man had previously thrown three bottles of Molotov cocktails, but no one was injured. The regional government reported that the man tried to throw a can of flammable mixture. The attacker was detained.
“All the circumstances of what happened, the motives of the attacker are being clarified,” Avdeev wrote in his Telegram channel.
He explained that the man threw containers with flammable substances into the government building of the Vladimir region and a private car parked in the parking lot. The attacker was promptly detained. No one was injured as a result of the incident. The criminal also intended to damage the official car, but the driver prevented him.
The governor thanked the law enforcement agencies and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the quick response, as well as the driver of the Special Motor Vehicle Facility, Alexander Maksimov, “who not only saved the car, but also tried to detain the criminal.”
