The Governor of the Kurgan Region Vadim Shumkov reported that the flood situation in the region has worsened. According to the official, the water level in the Tobol River reached 532 cm, with 25 cm added over the past two hours.
According to experts, “a very difficult situation with rising water is predicted for this night,” also “charged rain,» the governor noted.
«Compatriots, leave the flooded areas immediately,» Shumkov called.

On Friday, April 12, Shumkov reported a decrease in water levels in Tselinny and Zverinogolovsky districts: “This means that water is moving along the Tobol floodplain from south to north towards Kurgan.”
Previously chapter region said that water in Tobol washed away two bridges in the suburbs of Kurgan. TASS reports that rescuers managed to remove the debris of one bridge from the water, which floated towards the city and created a risk of congestion.
